Jacksonville SQL Server Users Group

Welcome to the Jacksonville SQL Server Users Group

The Jacksonville SQL Server Users Group (JSSUG) was founded by Brian Knight in January 2003, creating a community for database developers and administrators in the Jacksonville area. The goal of JSSUG is to share knowledge, best practices, and network. Today, it is a community focusing on development, administration, and business intelligence. Free meetings are open to the public every month. Meetings include presentations, technology announcements, local job opportunities, and quick brainstorming/guidance for users experiencing difficulty. An after event for additional networking, shop talk, and users desiring more detailed guidance for specific challenges is available following the meeting.

Migrating to Azure SQL DW

Looking for a simple way to get started with Azure?  Not sure if Azure SQL DB is right for you?  Try it out by moving an existing database to the cloud! In this session, you will learn three techniques to migrate your on-premises SQL Server databases to Azure SQL DBs, and why backup and restore is not one of the three. This session will also provide guidance on determining whether your on-premises SQL Server database is compatible with Azure SQL DB.
