Welcome to the Jacksonville SQL Server Users Group

The Jacksonville SQL Server Users Group (JSSUG) was founded by Brian Knight in January 2003, creating a community for database developers and administrators in the Jacksonville area. The goal of JSSUG is to share knowledge, best practices, and network. Today, it is a community focusing on development, administration, and business intelligence. Free meetings are open to the public every month. Meetings include presentations, technology announcements, local job opportunities, and quick brainstorming/guidance for users experiencing difficulty. An after event for additional networking, shop talk, and users desiring more detailed guidance for specific challenges is available following the meeting.

Creating Your First PowerApp with PowerBI and Flow

Session:

In this session, you’ll learn how to create your first application using PowerApp. PowerApps is part of the Power Platform from Microsoft and provides a business-friendly way of creating applications quickly that can integrate with the Microsoft PowerBI and Flow platforms for visualizing and moving data. This technology is one of the hottest new offerings from Microsoft and included in your Office 365 subscription.

Speaker Bio:

Brian Knight is the owner and founder of Pragmatic Works and is a serial entrepreneur, starting up other companies throughout his prolific career. Brian is a contributing columnist at several technical magazines and does regular webcasts. He is the author of more than fifteen technical books. Brian has spoken at dozens of conferences like PASS, SQL Connections and TechEd and many Code Camps. He has received a number of awards from the state, governor and press including the Business Ambassador Award (Governor) and Top CEO (Jacksonville Magazine). He is on the board of the region’s Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development Corporation.
